A 25-year-old Prospect man arrested Nov. 23 has been charged with grand larceny and breaking and entering in connection with a September break-in near Pamplin.

According to Maj. David Wilmoth of the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office, Kentario Lyle is also a suspect in two breaking and enterings reported in November in the Prospect area.

The Sept. 22 residential breaking and entering was reported in the 300 block of Rattler’s Branch Road. Wilmoth said that a Samsung tablet was stolen from the residence after forced entry was allegedly gained through the rear of the home. The tablet has been recovered.

“He is also a suspect in a couple other break-ins,” Wilmoth said. “If he has attempted to sell any type of electronics to anybody [they’re asked to] contact us. We believe he may have attempted to sell some stolen items.”

Lt. Joseph Sprague is the investigating officer.

Anyone with information on the reported break-ins or stolen electronic items is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (434) 392-8101.
