Over the past weekend, Leighann Sims, of Prince Edward, and her pony, Jar Of Pickled Peppers, competed in the State 4-H Finals held at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington. Sims showed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Friday, she placed second in Hunter Pleasure (HP) large pony exhibitor age 14-15 first go; Saturday she placed second and won Reserve Champion in Hunter Pleasure large pony exhibitor age 14-15 second go; she also showed in Equitation on the flat large pony exhibitor age 14-15 where she placed fifth. Because she won Reserve Champion in Hunter Pleasure, Sims went on to show Sunday in Classics where she placed ninth. It was a banner weekend for both Sims and Jar Of Pickled Peppers.
