Farmville residents Dwayne Scott and daughter Da’Niyah shared a friendly greeting with McGruff the crime dog Aug. 4 as part of National Night Out. Farmville communities hosted a series of special events bringing neighbors, communities, and the police department together. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug–prevention awareness, develop and strengthen partnerships between police and residents, and generate support for anti-crime programs such as Neighborhood Watch, Crime Solvers and Business Watch.
